Healing Paws Comfort Animal Program

Think your pet could be a Healing Paws comfort animal? Have them evaluated and find out! Anderson Humane’s volunteer program facilitates visits to senior centers, schools, and other places where people need the healing presence of animals. A minimum commitment of 2 hours per month is required.

Each evaluation is approximately 20 minutes long.  There is a $50 evaluation fee.

Dogs being evaluated must be up-to-date on rabies, DHPP (distemper), and Bordetella.

Records can be emailed to krakunas@ahconnects.org and MUST be provided a minimum of 2 weeks before your evaluation date.

The evaluations are held at Anderson Humane, 1000 S Lafox Street, South Elgin.

Please note, there are no refunds on evaluation fees. If you are not able to attend your scheduled evaluation, your fee will be considered a donation.
